Gubi describe themselves as 'treasure hunters' fuelled by a passion to discover overlooked icons from the past and create future ones. Rooted in Scandanavia and based in the docklands of Copenhagen the Gubi offices span a 2000 square metre space. This particular area is a magnet for architecture and design making it the perfect location. Gubi was founded in 1967 by Gubi and Lisbeth Olsen. Their sons Jacob and Sebastian were eager to make their own mark and so they opened their own concept store introducing fashion into the equation. Indeed Gubi were the first to import Prada and Helmut Lang into Denmark. Relaunched designs include the Bestlite which was first introduced by designer Robert Dudley Best and has now been resurrected by Gubi as part of a 13 piece stunning collection. Future iconic pieces include the Gubi chair created in collaboration with Komplot Design and the first 3D veneered chair ever made. Gubi are ultra stylish and a global player on the design scene.
