the creation of ribbon was a true labour of love for innermost and its designer shin azumi. inspired by the challenge of creating a 21st century redesign of the candlestick – the mother of all consumer lighting products – shin came up with a work of grace and simplicity. innermost managed the complex process of translating shin’s vision into solid form – involving investment casting, handcrafting, and no less than ten hours of polishing. launched at the milan fair in 2008, ribbon is currently available in polished stainless steel. comes in gift packaging.
