This website is owned and managed by A White Room. All content including pictures, designs, logos, photographs, written descriptions or other materials on our website are copyrighted. All worldwide rights are reserved. Any reproduction in whole or in part of our website is strictly prohibited without the written permission of A White Room.
By accessing this website you agree that you have read and understand the terms and conditions. If you do not agree to them, please do not use and access this website.
Please be aware that all of the trademarks, product names etc. represented on our website is the property of their individual owner-companies.
If not already stated delivery times and prices quoted are for UK mainland only. Normal deliveries are carried out between Monday and Friday. There is also an option for saturday deliveries but please note this refers to packages under 20kg and postage must be purchased seperately through the addtional poatage options or through the sales team. For delivery to Highlands, Channel Islands and overseas including international sales please contact us for the accurate shipping costs before you order.
We will process your order as quickly as possible and aim to dispatch items in stock within 1 - 3 working days of accepting your order, however please allow up to 7 working days for your purchases to arrive. Please note that delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Some products are internationally sourced and may take several weeks to be dispatched to us. We therefore give an indication of estimated delivery times in the product information box. Please note that customers must take into account national holidays to allow for correct delivery times particularly around christmas and summer when some of the european factories close. If time is an issue or to avoid any disappointment please contact us directly for more details on manufacturer holiday periods or to find out if an item is definitely in stock before purchasing. In the event of multiple orders each product may be dispatched individually to prevent delays to the entire order. Any requests which are different to our standard delivery terms must be agreed on or as soon after order as possible. Please note that from the moment a carrier attempts to deliver the goods they are then the customer’s full responsibility. The customer must also accept the goods when they are ready to be delivered unless we reserve the right to A. charge again for delivery, B. charge the amount for the return of goods after a failed delivery attempt C. issue storage charges based on us keeping hold of goods until a customer is ready to accept delivery.
Please note that once a customer signs for a delivery, they are accepting they have recieved the delivery in good condition. If in any doubt on delivery It is imperative you sign for all items as 'goods unchecked' as simply signing your name for on the couriers manifest is signing that you have received items in perfect condition and this will void any claim for loss or damage. It is the customer's responsibility to do this. Additionally if you notice any visual damage to the outside packaging this must be noted and written down at the same time of signing for the delivery. Please note written indication of damage on signature on the proof of delivery sheet is absolutely essential in order for us to validate any claim. Any failure to do this will negate any customer claim.
In the event of bad weather, road conditions or other unforeseen circumstances everything will be done to inform and update customers of delays and schedules, in these circumstances we cannot be responsible for carrier delays.
Deliveries do not include unpacking, assembly or installation. Standard kerbside delivery consists of a kerbside collection and drop off only, however, A White Room can offer a full installation service or 2 man delivery as long as there is a prior agreement. Orders and Payments
Customers may pay in full for items ordered online using the secure online payment facility on the website. Alternatively if customers wish to order items not in stock and are happy to wait for the manufacturers indicated lead time, they can defer payment. On such orders please email email@example.com or telephone us on 01282 862626 at the showroom and we can offer the facility of taking 50% of the total as a deposit, with a further 50% balance falling due for payment prior to dispatch of goods from our warehouse. Security of your personal data is of the utmost importance to us. Our website is fully secure and all credit card payments are processed through Sagepay, WorldPay or PayPal.
We have a digital certificate issued by Comodo guaranteeing that your transaction is secure.
Data protection & privacy.
The information we collect about you when we process your order will only be used lawfully in accordance with the data protection act. we will never disclose your details to a third party without prior permission.
Your personal details may only be disclosed to other reputable third parties for the purpose of processing your order. a white room requires all such third parties to treat your personal information as fully confidential and to fully comply with all applicable uk data protection or consumer legislation.
All prices quoted are in british pounds stering and are inclusive of vat.
We reserve the right to make price adjustments if it is discovered that the price is incorrect to protect us from price rises as a result of currency fluctuations and suppliers’ price increases.
If the price quoted on the website is incorrect, we will advise you of the true cost and await confirmation that you wish to proceed with the purchase.
Please note some goods are made to order, if you are unsure as to which goods this refers to please check with us before you order. No refunds will be issued for goods that are specifiaclly made in a customers choice of colour or and size.
We make every effort to ensure colours remain as realistic as possible but we cannot guarantee exact colour depiction because of digital representattion on different web browsers.
We cannot guarantee that items made from natural products, such as leather and wood, will have the same colour, shade, pattern or finish as items viewed on the website because of the inherent nature of such materials.
Please note that some products may require light assembly and may be packaged in suce a way to protect products in transit.
Returns, refunds and cancellations
Customers wishing to cancel orders must do so within 48 hrs of placing the order, by telephone or email. After this time orders are already processed with our suppliers or stock allocated. Cancellation after this time will then be affected by the terms for unwanted goods.
If goods are delivered to you in a damaged or defective condition, we will refund or replace the products free of charge providing the following conditions are met. We are notified by email or telephone within 24 hours. We recieve a written claim, within three days of delivery. We have picture evidence of damage to outer packaging and goods. All our goods are checked prior to dispatch, so please note and write down any visual damage to outside packaging before signing for a delivery, other wise we are unable to validate any claim.
If goods that have arrived damaged have been specially ordered for customers in their choice of colour and or size we reserve the right to replace the item from the manufacturer or issue a credit note. Please note no refunds will be issued for these types of orders.
The cost of returning the product(s) is the responsibility of the customer, and in all cases, the products must be adequately packed in the original packaging.
If you wish to return unwanted goods, you must do so within 14 days of delivery, following our procedures below:
- Contact A White Room within 48 hrs of receiving the goods followed by a written notice of your cancellation within 7 days.
- The cost of returning the product(s) is the responsibility of the customer, who must also insure the transit of the goods where applicable.
- The products must be adequately packed and in the original packaging.
- A full refund of the purchase price (less any delivery costs) will be made within 14 days after the return, providing the goods are received back to us in a perfect and in a re-sellable condition.
- We will not administer returns or refunds for goods that have been specially ordered in the customers choice of colour and/or size.
- It is the customers responsibility to check sizes of products and that adequate access is ensured for getting large sized items into and around their premises. A White Room take no responsibilty for items that will not go into a customers property or fit into a customers space due to the customer not checking first or wrongly measuring.
